The Six Months That Made Us HABB Global – And What Came Next

25 DEC 2025 → 15 JUL 2026
#HABBGlobal #HABBGate #HABBOne #ParcelBuddy #Switzerland #TeamCulture
From a Christmas Day launch call to a Swiss workshop running on our own software, a first client met in person years later, a chance meeting at 30,000 feet, and a parcel-delivery idea born in the UK — here’s everything that happened between December 25, 2025 and now.
It’s been a while since the last update here, and a lot has happened since then. Rather than sharing each milestone separately, here’s the story of the months that helped shape HABB into what it is today.
🎄 December 25 — A Christmas to Remember: The HABB UK Launch Meeting

While the world celebrated Christmas, our team came together for the HABB UK Launch Meeting, marking another step in our global journey.
Different countries, one screen. Different time zones, one vision.
The meeting wasn’t simply about expansion – it was about aligning people, responsibilities, and a shared belief that we could build something meaningful beyond borders. It became the foundation for many of the conversations and collaborations that followed over the months ahead.

Later that same day, I also had the privilege of meeting Varman Nagarasa.

I’m grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and honest conversations we shared. Mentors help us see beyond today’s challenges, and that meeting became one of those moments I’ll always remember.

🏴 December 27 — Old-School Values, New-World Systems
A few weeks earlier, I had remotely completed system training for the husband-and-wife founders of Lodge on the Loch, Onich, Scotland, through Google Meet.
When they visited Sri Lanka during December, I felt they deserved more than a completed project — I wanted them to feel completely confident using it.

So we met again in Colombo and walked through everything in person. Not because the contract required it. Because good service often begins where contracts end.
They’re members of the Tamil diaspora, originally from Jaffna and now building a successful life in Scotland. Different countries. Shared roots. That meeting reminded me that trust remains the strongest technology we can build.

January 7, 2026 – Hardware Sourcing for Habbgate

The team visited local technology suppliers to evaluate and source hardware components for the Habbgate access control system. Together with Nalin IT, various devices were inspected, compared, and assessed to ensure compatibility, reliability, and quality for upcoming deployments. This visit played an important role in identifying suitable hardware solutions to support Habbgate’s continued development.

🌟 January 9 — Global Vision, Local Grit
One of the highlights of January was welcoming Rajan Bala to HABB.

With decades of experience spanning software engineering, AI, access control systems, and entrepreneurship, Rajan represents something we deeply admire — never stopping learning.
Beyond technology, his work through Aravanai and the Noolaham Foundation reflects a commitment to giving back to the Tamil community through education, entrepreneurship, and digital preservation.
Meeting someone who has successfully combined global experience with community impact was both inspiring and humbling.

🔐 January 12 — HABBGate Goes Live
Every company remembers its first flagship product. For us, that was HABBGate.
We successfully delivered our first complete gym management and access control system to Arun Gym, Kilinochchi, helping digitize member management, employee management, packages, payments, reporting, and daily operations within a single platform.

Behind this launch were countless late nights, revisions, testing sessions, and lessons that shaped us as a team. It wasn’t just software. It was proof that HABB could build products trusted by real businesses.

January 15–16, 2026 – Pongal Celebration at the Office
On January 15 and 16, 2026, the HABB Global team came together to celebrate Thai Pongal, embracing the spirit of gratitude, unity, and new beginnings. The office was filled with festive decorations, traditional celebrations, and joyful moments shared among team members.

The celebration provided an opportunity for everyone to strengthen team bonds, appreciate the harvest festival’s cultural significance, and create lasting memories while welcoming a prosperous new year together.

January 22, 2026 – Instagram Collaboration with Rowzow Gaming Center
On January 22, 2026, HABB partnered with Rowzow Gaming Center, a popular gaming center in Jaffna, for a small Instagram collaboration. The collaboration focused on promoting the local gaming community through engaging social media content while increasing HABB’s digital reach.

This partnership reflected HABB’s commitment to supporting local businesses and creators, strengthening community connections, and expanding its presence through creative collaborations.

🤝 January 22 — Meeting Our Very First Client
Every company has a first client. Some become long-term partners. Others become lifelong friends.
On January 22, I finally had the opportunity to meet Ketheeswaran Thileepan from Bad Ragaz, Switzerland — our very first client — in person, while he was visiting his hometown of Nallur, Jaffna.

Our journey together began through Sharu Priya, who first introduced us. Together we built Tharaa.lk (Tharaa Fashion), and today that relationship continues as we develop another exciting venture together — Spicylon.com.

The visit wasn’t only about discussing software. It was about sharing stories, spending time with Thileepan, his parents, and his sister, and appreciating how far a single introduction had brought us. Looking back, it’s amazing to realize that one client became the beginning of many more opportunities.

🌱 January 26 — Welcoming the 2026 Intern Batch & Planning HABBGATE Branding

Rather than hosting a formal induction, we chose something different. A conversation.

We asked our interns what they wanted to build, what challenged them, and where they hoped to grow.

There were no promises of shortcuts — only an honest commitment to help them become better engineers through real work, responsibility, and mentorship.

Later Abiramy Velavan & Ajiththana Joined HABBGate Branding Team nad Start Making Videos

🔐 January 28 — HABBGate Expands
Only weeks after our first deployment, HABBGate expanded to Arun Gym’s Puthukkudiyiruppu branch in Mullaitivu.

The second installation confirmed what we hoped from the beginning: HABBGate wasn’t built as a one-time project. It was built as a scalable product.

🚀 February 5 — Another Wave of Builders
As HABB continued growing, another batch of interns joined our journey. Fresh minds. Curious hearts. New perspectives.

Each new intern reminded us that investing in people is one of the best investments any company can make.
Including us never ever regret to give support on Habbgate

February 5, 2026 – Meeting with Chandru from Akilam YouTube
On February 5, 2026, we met Chandru Anna from Akilam YouTube to exchange ideas and discuss creative strategies for content, branding, and digital growth. The meeting was filled with valuable insights and inspiring conversations that offered fresh perspectives for HABB’s future initiatives.

It was a productive session that strengthened our network and provided new ideas to support the company’s ongoing development and outreach efforts.
✈️ February 11–17 — Thailand: Business Beyond Borders

(Met Andrew Jebarsan at Airport who helped us in Habb Gate in Mullaitivu District.)
February brought our first international business trip of the year. Together with Sanjeev and Kowshigan, I travelled to Thailand to meet the team behind OptimRental.ch from Switzerland.
What began as business meetings quickly became much more. Throughout the week we discussed future collaborations, exchanged ideas, explored new opportunities, and strengthened relationships that had previously existed only through online meetings.
Business trips often become memorable because of the people you meet rather than the meetings themselves. This trip was exactly that.

🎉 Mid-February date estimated — Culture Beyond the Office

Our interns proudly represented HABB during a traditional event at SLIIT, supported through HABB EdGrow.
Technology helps people build careers. Culture helps people build communities. We believe both matter.

February 19, 2026 – Meeting with Sebastian Fisher
On February 19, 2026, we had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sebastian Fisher, a British entrepreneur currently living in Spain. We first became friends during a previous Colombo Trade Fair, where we had meaningful discussions about technology and business opportunities.

During this visit, we met him at Vanni Inn for lunch and continued our conversations in a friendly and professional atmosphere. After lunch, we visited the office together and captured a few memorable moments with some small clicks (photos) to mark the occasion.

The meeting strengthened our international connections and opened the door for future collaboration and networking opportunities.
🌍 February 21 — HABB Becomes HABB Global
One of the biggest milestones of these months arrived when we officially became HABB Global (Pvt) Ltd, under registration number PV356562.

The new name wasn’t simply a rebrand. It reflected reality. By then, HABB Lanka and HABB Switzerland weren’t running as two separate stories anymore.

On January 30, Atavinthan Chellappah joined Thuverakan and me for a meeting on HABB Flow — one of the first real working sessions between our two sides. On February 6, Suyarajh Kanagaratnam joined one of these meetings for the first time, another quiet sign that this had stopped being a side conversation and become core to how HABB operated. Three products were taking shape out of these sessions: HABB One, HABB Connect, and HABB Flow.

Our vision had grown. Now our name reflected it. HABB Lanka and HABB Switzerland, together, became the giant: HABB Global.
✈️ February 25–26 — A Chance Meeting at 30,000 Feet
Some partnerships begin in boardrooms. Others begin on airplanes.

During our travels, I met Yu Moriwake , a client from Japan, during a flight. What started as a casual conversation eventually became two meetings in Colombo on February 25 and 26. Joining those meetings were Thuverakan and Clerin, as we explored possibilities for future collaboration.

Sometimes the best business opportunities appear where you least expect them.

February 26, 2026 – Meeting with JaffnaBusiness.com
On February 26, 2026, the HABB Global team visited the JaffnaBusiness.com office to discuss and complete the legal formalities related to HABB Global (Pvt) Ltd. The meeting focused on company registration matters, legal documentation, and ensuring compliance with the necessary business requirements.
This visit marked another important step in strengthening HABB Global’s legal foundation and supporting the company’s continued growth and future operations.

📦 Around March 17 — ParcelBuddy: An Idea That Became Reality
Some products begin with months of market research. Others begin with a simple conversation.

Around March 17, Vignarajah Sivaseshan from HABB UK shared an idea that immediately caught our attention. The vision was simple: create a smarter, easier way for people across Sri Lanka to send and receive parcels through one digital platform.

That conversation became ParcelBuddy. Within weeks our team began transforming the concept into reality — designing workflows, building the platform, refining the customer experience, and developing what would become ParcelBuddy.lk.
ParcelBuddy represented something bigger than another software product. It demonstrated how ideas can emerge from anywhere within the HABB family and become reality through collaboration between our international teams. The project also challenged us to think beyond software development — we learned about logistics, customer journeys, operational efficiency, and scalability.
ParcelBuddy became another reminder that HABB isn’t simply building software. We’re building solutions for real-world problems.
March 16, 2026 – Journey to Kilinochchi for a Non-Profit Project
On March 16, 2026, our team traveled to Kilinochchi by bike to work on a special project for the Sisters’ Home in Iranamadu. The journey reflected our dedication, teamwork, and commitment to serving the community despite the long distance.

This was a non-profit project carried out entirely to support a non-profit organization. Contributing our skills and time without expecting anything in return was a meaningful experience that reinforced HABB’s commitment to using technology and innovation for social good.
March 27, 2026 – Networking Meetup at Bohar Solutions
On March 27, 2026, the HABB team visited Bohar Solutions for a networking and collaboration meetup with Gajarthan Thevarajah, his team, and the MeltaPay team. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss innovation, and explore potential areas for collaboration within the technology ecosystem.

The session concluded with productive conversations and team interactions, further strengthening professional relationships and opening doors for future partnerships.
April 1, 2026 – Team Spirit Family Event
On April 1, 2026, the HABB team came together for a Team Spirit Family Event, celebrating the strong bond that connects our members beyond the workplace. The gathering was filled with fun activities, laughter, and quality time, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

The event highlighted HABB’s culture of teamwork, friendship, and mutual support, reminding us that our greatest strength comes from the people who work together as one family.
April 8, 2026 – Legal Work Meeting & Jetwing Meetup
On April 8, 2026, the HABB team visited the JaffnaBusiness.com office for further discussions and progress on the legal matters related to HABB Global (Pvt) Ltd. The meeting focused on completing necessary documentation and ensuring the company’s legal processes were moving forward smoothly.

Later, we had a meetup at Jetwing with Abiramy Velavan, Suthesh, Sanjeev, and Senthalan Vyravanathan. The gathering provided an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss future possibilities while strengthening professional relationships.

The day represented another step in HABB’s journey of building strong foundations, meaningful partnerships, and a growing network.
April 11 – Client Meetup

April 16 – Meetup with RB, me Sanjeev & Thulaxan

May 29, 2026 – HABB Team Trip to Hatton, Nuwara Eliya & Horton Plains

On May 29, 2026, the HABB team — Clerin Balakrishnan, Dhanushkar, Thuverakan, and Senthalan Vyravanathan — went on a memorable journey to Hatton and Nuwara Eliya, exploring the beauty of Sri Lanka’s central highlands.
The trip included an adventure to Horton Plains and World’s End, where the team experienced stunning landscapes, fresh mountain air, and the natural beauty of the region. Beyond the destination, it was a valuable opportunity to spend time together, strengthen team relationships, and create unforgettable memories outside the usual work environment.
This journey reflected HABB’s team spirit, unity, and belief that strong connections between team members help build a stronger organization. It was a perfect blend of adventure, friendship, and teamwork.
The journey was filled with beautiful landscapes, shared experiences, and moments of laughter, creating unforgettable memories among team members. Beyond the workplace, this trip reflected HABB’s culture of friendship, teamwork, and building strong relationships within the team.
It was a refreshing experience that brought everyone closer and reminded us of the importance of balancing hard work with meaningful moments together.
June 4

🚀 June 12 — HABB One & HABB Connect
Months of collaboration finally became products.
HABB One was designed to simplify workforce management, quotations, invoicing, attendance, and daily operations for businesses. Its first Swiss reference deployment went live at Tschannen Spritzwerk AG, a 46-year-old powder-coating and spray-painting workshop in Burgdorf, Switzerland.

Meanwhile, HABB Connect was built to help businesses manage leads, customers, and communications through one centralized platform.
These products represented months of collaboration between our Sri Lankan and Swiss teams.
June 19, 2026 – Celebrating Teammate Niruthan’s Birthday
On June 19, 2026, the HABB team came together to celebrate the birthday of our teammate, Niruthan. The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and warm wishes, reflecting the close-knit culture we value within our team.

Taking time to celebrate milestones like birthdays strengthens our team spirit and reminds us that every member is an important part of the HABB family. We wish Niruthan continued success, happiness, and many more memorable years ahead.

🕐 End of June date estimated — 24hours.lk Is Coming
Alongside everything else, another ambitious project quietly took shape: 24hours.lk, a unified booking platform built for Sri Lanka. Still under development. Still improving. Still evolving.
Everything we learned while building HABBGate, HABB One, HABB Connect, and ParcelBuddy has found its way into this platform. We’re excited to share much more very soon.

🤖 June 29 — BrainBots STEM Academy Opens
Sanjeev and Suthesh represented HABB at the opening of BrainBots STEM Academy — a new home for robotics, AI, IoT, and drone education for Sri Lanka’s next generation of builders. Supporting STEM education is close to the same instinct behind HABB EdGrow: technology means more when it reaches the people who’ll shape its future.

🛍️ June 30 — Vavuniya Client Meetup
Thulaxan and the team met with a client in Vavuniya to talk through what’s next — another reminder that behind every product update is a relationship that needs tending, not just a deploy.

⚙️ July — Heads Down, Building Season
July has been a quieter kind of milestone: no launches, just the whole team logging in daily and putting in the work — running on our own HABB One ERP for day-to-day operations and Jibble.io for time tracking. Sometimes the best proof a product works is that your own team depends on it.

How we’re organized: three teams, one delivery standard.
- Development Team 1 — Lead: Senthalan Vyravanathan, 3 members — core product engineering: HABBGate, HABB One integrations, and client delivery.
- Development Team 2 — Lead: Thuverakan Tharumakulasooriyan, 4 members — platform & web engineering: HABB Connect, 24hours.lk, and internal tooling.
- AI Team 1 — Lead: Niruthan Paranthaman, 3 members — applied AI: model integration, automation, and the intelligence layer across HABB’s products.

The people behind all of it this July: Senthalan Vyravanathan, Thuverakan Tharumakulasooriyan, Atavinthan Chellappah, Suyarajh Kanagaratnam, Thamilnila Jasotharan, Pirakash Ravindran, Sharanyah Makeswaran, Sivanesan Sarusan, Keerthihan Murugathas, Sathurgini Kalanantharasan, Yogarajan Sujeevan, Pugalini Mohanaraj, Vanaiyalini Kirupagaran, Aarabhi Anton Yoganayagam, Clerin Balakrishnan, and D. B. Jagapathy Dhanushkar — alongside a growing group of interns learning by doing.

🏋️ July 12 — Kilinochchi, Vaddakkachchi
Met Gobinthiran Kulendran in Vaddakkachchi, Kilinochchi — a good conversation with a well-known face in the area, and one more reminder that our roots and our roadmap are still the same district.

🇨🇭 HABB Switzerland: Building Momentum
Our HABB Switzerland team has been especially active lately, shipping steadily on the product line at habb.ch. Thank you to Atavinthan Chellappah for keeping that connection strong between our Sri Lanka and Switzerland teams.
There’s more on the way — the Switzerland team is preparing to visit, HABB t-shirts are already ordered, and a few meetings and agreements are lining up behind the scenes. Watch this space for the next chapter of HABB Global.

🌍 Closing Thoughts
Looking back, these months were never just about software. They were about people.
Mentors who shared wisdom. Clients who became friends. Students who became teammates. Partners who believed in us. Ideas that crossed borders. And a small company from Northern Sri Lanka that slowly became HABB Global.

From Christmas launch calls, to Scotland, Switzerland, Thailand, Japan, Colombo, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Nallur, Vavuniya, and beyond — every meeting, every conversation, every client, every intern, and every product shaped the company we’re becoming.
The journey is only beginning. There are many more stories still to tell. And with ParcelBuddy.lk, HABB One, HABB Connect, and 24hours.lk, we’re even more excited about what comes next.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.
— Senth Vyra
